Put simply, somatic = body-based.

Somatic techniques centre around the underlying truth that ‘the body keeps the score’ - i.e. our body stores all of our experiences, emotions, and traumas as data.

The more we can connect with our own ‘data’, the better we’re able to see how it affects our behaviour, decisions, responses, emotions, and thought patterns.

Somatic coaching is inherently two things:

1. a ‘whole person’ approach that emphasises the fundamentally interconnected nature of our physical and emotional experiences

2. optimistic! Somatic approaches are our unwavering cheer squad - they believe that every single one of us was born with the necessary tools to navigate our way to and through a meaningful and full life
